DEAD ARTISTS LOUNGE (virtual edition) was an evening of collaborative performance art inspired by the works of deceased artists. This program was funded by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners and aired on November 9, 2020. Participating performance artists include: Robby Myles, Montana DeBor, Chris Burk, Theresa Davis, Destiny Renee, Wade Tilton, Neil Fried, Nicole Mermans, Fareedah ‘Free’ Aleem, Okorie ‘Okcello’ Johnson, Earth to Sky Performance Co, Annette Coquette and Chibi. Inspired by the works of: Prince, James Baldwin, Panorama Ray, Mick O’Dowd, Charles Valentin-Alkan, Emma Amos, Christina Rossetti, and Edgar Allan Poe.

OBFUSCATE : Premiered as a part of a virtual edition of Human: A Pretty Monstrous Experience, 2020, a 7 Stages Production. Each piece in Human was inspired by Pretty Monsters, a book by Kelly Link. Obfuscate take excerpts from the book spoken over an original composition performed by Nicolette Emanuelle and brings them to life with aerial movement and rich imagery.

THE BLACK BOX: This is a segment from a piece called “Creating Dolls” which originally premiered as a part of The Black Box show on May 31, 2019 at 7 Stages in Atlanta, GA. The song, “Same Mistakes” was written and performed by Nicolette Emanuelle on piano/vocals and features McKinley Vitale on aerial fabric with Deisha Millar on Cello and Bradley Daugherty on drums.

The Black Box was a series of 4 pieces and was a collaborative effort between Nicolette Emanuelle and A.M. Spexet and featured the talents of Flight of Swallows (performance art), Sorsha Masters (dance) and Raymond vs Raymond (puppetry arts) as well as the aforementioned “Creating Dolls” which was conceived and directed by Nicolette Emanuelle.

THE GOLDEN RECORD was an aerial driven theatrical production that premiered as a part of The Atlanta Science Festival 2018. It was a collaboration between The Hereafter Artist Collective, Flight of Swallows and members of Astrobiology GA Tech.  Inspired by the contents of The Golden Record and the story of Voyager 1 & 2, this piece imagined what it might be like if extraterrestrial life discovered our message to the stars. Featuring the talents of The Hereafter Artist Collective, Flight of Swallows, Earth to Sky Performance co, with live music from Deisha Millar and Klimchak.

SANGUINE was a 20 min performance produced and performed by The Hereafter Artist Collective (which Nicolette was the founder and artistic director for). It premiered as a par of the Fire in the Fourth Street Festival in Old Fourth Ward, Atlanta, GA on May 20, 2017.

DEAD POETS LOUNGE: An evening of performance art based on the poems of dead poets. This event was produced by Nicolette Emanuelle and held on March 9, 2015 at Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse in Atlanta, GA.
