Art of Activism, a 7 Stages event

Art of Activism brings together community experts, artists and patrons for a virtual brunch and vital conversation centered on the themes of the production as we examine our role beyond the art. While you do not have to have seen the film What are You? to attend the complimentary event, 7 Stages welcome all voices to join the VIP’s in connecting across our differences, share in commonalities, and explore the curiosity that initiates the question: What Are You?

The panel consisted of creator Nicolette Emanuelle, Interviewee/yoga instructor/activist Vivian Selles and performer AnnMarie Spexet. This event took place online on April 11, 2021 in support of the release of the short film, What are You?

Service Saturday, a 7 Stages event

7 Stages often correlates a Service Saturday with the release of a production, in this case the short film What are You? This Service Saturday there was food, books, and PPE kits for those in need with their partners at Just A Touch, complimentary Big Read Books–Advice from the Lights, and warm coffee from Java Lords. We gathered safely (CDC recommended covid protocols) in sharing resources and remaining connected with our community! We were joined by cast member Jaylynn Haywood who was selling her jewelry, Nicolette Emanuelle who played cello in the lobby and Lucy Eden who taught a couple of children how to juggle.
